Chocolate Mousse Express

This is the dessert I ate the most growing up in Paris, and I can’t make it without thinking of my dad, who is the chocoholic of the family. It comes together really quickly. The most important tip is getting a very nice shiny and thick meringue which will give the mousse it's volume.

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

In a microwave-safe bowl or over a bain-marie (double boiler), add the chocolate and butter and heat in 20-second increments, stirring in between each interval, until melted and smooth. Let cool to room temperature.
